Ramzi El-Edlibi brings to the stage and classroom an impressive history of experience as a performer, choreographer, percussionist and teacher. Born in Bahrain, Lebanon, he has traveled extensively throughout the Middle East to explore the history, development and relationship between ancient and contemporary artistic traditions and the many cultures of this fertile region. Ramzi’s most recent production entitled BALADY: DANCE IN THE MIDDLE EAST is a program dedicated to such dances as the Whirling Dervish and the Middle Eastern folk dances of the Fertile Crescent.
