Arielle Rosales, a native New Yorker, began her Flamenco studies at age five, under the late Andrea del Conte, who would later function as her mentor for over a decade. In 2002, Arielle received a full scholarship to attend the Flamenco Institute of Maria Benitez in Santa Fe, NM, where she trained with masters Mario Maya and Maria Benitez. She continues her studies in the U.S. and Spain at the legendary Amor De Dios Dance Studios. Arielle graduated from The American Musical & Dramatic Academy, where she majored in Musical Theatre, and has trained in Ballet, Tap, Theatre Dance, Contemporary, Afro-Peruvian, and Hip Hop. She is currently a member of several dance companies in New York and Chicago, including Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana and R.Evolución Latina, under the direction of Luis Salgado. She has had the opportunity to perform throughout the U.S. and U.K., including venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Joyce, and The Minskoff Theatre on Broadway. She has been featured on NPR, The Today Show, and MTV. Her choreography has been featured in commercials for Nokia, and the upcoming music video for recording artist, Shanik Hughes' new single "Ahora o Nunca". Arielle is the Artistic Director of her own dance company, JuxtapOlé (www.juxtapole.com), a contemporary Flamenco fusion group.
Aside from performing, one of Arielle's passions in life is teaching, which she had the privilege of experiencing at an early age; having completed a Teacher's in Training Certificate Program and apprenticing under Andrea Del Conte for over 5 years. Arielle is currently on full faculty for STEPS on Broadway, Lotus Music & Dance Studios, and Ballet Hispanico, and is a regular Guest Faculty of Broadway Dance Center, and Peridance Capezio Center. She teaches in-school residencies regularly with Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana and Ballet Hispanico, and is currently the Flamenco and Drama teacher for the University Settlement Beacon Program.
